Create your VunaBooks account

Create a business or customer account. It takes four short steps.

Select Create account on the VunaBooks sign-in page, or go straight to create an account.

Choose your account type

On How will you use VunaBooks?, choose one:

  • Business: to run a business, record sales and stock, and keep your accounts.
  • Customer: to see invoices, receipts and payments from businesses you buy from.

Select Continue.

If a business invited you to VunaBooks, the invitation decides the account type for you and you start at Your details.

Enter your details

  1. Enter your First name and Last name.
  2. Enter your Email. VunaBooks sends a verification code to this address.
  3. Enter a Password of at least 8 characters, then enter it again in Confirm password.
  4. Select Continue.

You can select Continue with Google instead to use your Google account.

Tell VunaBooks about your business

This step is for business accounts only.

  1. Enter your Business name.
  2. Under Business type, choose what the business mainly does: Retail, Wholesale, Manufacturing, Services or Nonprofit / NGO.
  3. Choose the Country where your business operates.
  4. Check the Accounting currency. VunaBooks suggests a currency for the country you choose. Change it if your books are kept in a different currency.
  5. Select Continue.

If your business operates in Uganda, VunaBooks also asks for the Registered legal entity type. Choose how the business is registered. This decides which income tax return applies to it.

Manufacturing and Nonprofit / NGO workspaces are set up with help from the VunaBooks team. If you choose one of them, select Request a sales-assisted pilot to contact us.

Review and create your account

Review and confirm shows your name, email and business details. Select Edit next to a row to change it.

Ready from day one lists the tools VunaBooks prepares for your business type. You don't need to choose tools now. You can change them later in Settings.

Read and accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then select Create account.

Customer accounts skip the business step and go straight from Your details to Review and confirm.

What happens next

VunaBooks sends a 6-digit code to your email. Verify your email to finish creating your account.
